The Indian government is looking for disinvestment of its stake in another PSU, Telecom consultants India Limited (TCIL) along with BSNL. The management has been asked to negotiate with the employees unions by the government in this regard. A divsinvestment of stake in TCIL through IPO is one of the agenda discussed by the new government.
TCIL holds a 30% stake in Rajastan mobile operations controlled by Sunil Mittal-promoted Bharati Airtel and is understood that it is looking to divesting its stake in Rajasthan circle.
A cabinet note has already been prepared for divesting TCIL's stake in Bharati-Hexacom (joint venture for rajastan operations) it is expected soon.
