BSNL All Unions meeting details

A meeting of all the unions in BSNL and the BSNL management was held in the presence of the Chief Labour Commissioner in accordance with the directions of the Hon'ble Kerala High Court.  The meeting was called to find out whether consensus could be reached for making changes to the Code of Discipline for recognizing more than one union. The BTEU (BSNL) was represented by the General Secretary and  Shri R.C.Pandey, Dy GS also attended  The GS  stated that the BSNL should formulate its own recognition rules and that all the unions in the BSNL should be given minimum trade union facilities as the BSNL is operating in a huge area and it will not be fair if proper representation is not given to all the unions.  With regards to the Code of discipline the GS stated that it does not come within the purview of the present meeting.  All the unions except 2 viz., TEPU and BSNL MS did not agree to this proposals. The CLC then asked the management to convene a meeting of all the unions in BSNL to find out ways and means to frame BSNL's own recognition rules.
