Central Trade Unions Convention details

A convention of all Central Trade Unions led by BMS was held at New Delhi on 4.9.2012. The meeting was attended by leading lights of the Central Trade Unions i.e. S/Shri Baidyanath Rai (BMS) Dr. G. Sanjeeva Reddy (INTUC), Tapan Sen (CITU) and Gurudas Dasgupta (AITUC). The Convention unanimously passed a Declaration, which called upon the  workers to go on the following gravitational programe.

• State/District/sector level Joint Conventions during September, October and November, 2012.
• Satyagraha/Jail Bharo/Court Arrest on 18th /19th December, 2012 in all the states throughout the country.
• March to Parliament on 20th December, 2012.
• Countrywide two day General Strike on 20th and 21st February, 2013.
